WILMINGTON, NC — Talk on social media Thursday among local musicians centered around the sudden closure of Catawba Brewing in Wilmington.
The brewery, which also has locations in Charlotte and Asheville, scrubbed mentions of its Wilmington location on its website and social media accounts. The location hosted an open mic night on Tuesdays and live music on Thursday evenings. According to a post on social media, the move appears to be permanent.
Catawba expanded its operations to Wilmington in 2021.
