Interested in Entertaining? Here’s a FREE Way to Learn From Performing Artists

WILMINGTON, NC – Ready to move from singing in the shower to singing on the main stage?

Over the next several months, performing artists from around the Wilmington area will share their tricks of the trade with the public for free.  It’s a great chance to learn how to get started from those who are booked at several of the awesome venues we have in town.

Performance Artist Delia Stanley shared with us the news of an upcoming Creative Career Workshop Series for artists.  It’s a collaboration between The Painter and The Poet Studio over on Chestnut Street and the live music series “Voice and The Pen.”  Stanley is helping coordinate and will host the four part workshop series starting later in September.

Here’s what you can expect:

Wednesday September 27th from 7pm to 9pm
“Being Over Branding: Musician Identity and Finding your Authentic Audience.”

Wednesday October 25th from 7pm to 9pm
“Booking: Getting Gigs and Developing Business Relationships.”

Wednesday November 29th from 7pm to 9pm
“Sound and Stage: What Gear to Get and Best Performance Practices”

Wednesday December 28th from 7pm to 9pm
“Social Media and Marketing: Making the Online World Work For You”

Panelists will discuss best practices related to each of these topics when considering how a career in the creative arts.

All of the workshops will be held at The Painter and the Poet Studio, which is located at 1202 Chestnut Street.
