October 30 and Halloween, October 31st – The Barzarre is going out with several unique events.
Monday is typically a slow day for events in Wilmington, but this year, Barzarre is stepping up with a Doomer Halloween from 8pm to 2am. I’m going to have to let the website describe this unique experience.

Expect everything eastern European post punk presented by a native Finnish DJ
This event is presented in European style and follows the German concept of “Die schwarze Szene” (The Dark Scene) where the music selection is not as tightly divided into small niches as commonly done here in America. The Dark Scene encompasses all dark music ranging from synth pop, cold wave, dark medieval folk tunes, contemporary dark metal and everything in between like post-punk, goth, you name it!
The Dark Scene really is thriving these days with tons of new music available. We’re feeding off this new material from all corners of the world and we try to present you with new interesting music instead of just playing the same old traditional tunes (but of course we do play some of the good old stuff from time to time).
THE EVENT IS FREE (NO ADMISSION!) and ALL AGES
Photosensitive seizure warning: A very small percentage of people
may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual effects, including flashing lights or patterns that may appear during the show. We do not use stroboscopes, but some of the music videos we play on the big screen may possibly impact people with photosensitivity.
On the actual Halloween evening, The Barzarre hosts five bands starting at 8pm.
Escape Velocity, Physical Digital, Microdose, Nervous Surface and Rosary at The Barzarre on Halloween night, October 31st at 8pm. $15 at the door.
October 31 – Fermental holds its Halloween party from 7pm to 10pm with live music from The General Assembly Band. There will be games, costumes, candy and plenty of festive libations.
